Version 1.0 — Effective date: 14 July 2026
Everlap is a mobile application developed by Exact IOT Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), based in Auckland, New Zealand. The app is a stopwatch for tracking how long recurring activities take — you time a session and it is saved on your device so you can review your history over time.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains what data the app stores and how it is handled. The short version: Everlap collects no personal information and sends no data anywhere. Everything stays on your device.
Everlap does not collect any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no crash reporting service.
The only data the app handles is the data you create by using it:
All of this is stored in a local database on your device only. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Your session and activity data is used solely to show your timing history and activity charts within the app. It is not used for any other purpose.
| Data Type | Retention |
|---|---|
| Timed sessions and activities | Stored on device until you delete them in the app, clear app data, or uninstall the app |
| In-progress session state | Stored on device while a stopwatch is running so it survives backgrounding; cleared when the session is stopped or discarded |
All data is stored locally on your device. The app does not connect to the internet and does not upload any data to external servers or cloud services operated by us.
If you have Android device backup enabled, your app data may be included in your device's backup managed by Google. That backup is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and is under your control in your device settings.
We do not collect your data, so we have nothing to sell, trade, or share. No data is shared with any third parties.
Everlap uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash reporting services.
Everlap does not request any sensitive permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, location, contacts, or files.
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access, correct, and delete personal information held about you. Because Everlap stores all data locally on your device and we hold none of it, you are always in full control: you can delete individual sessions or activities in the app, or remove everything by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
Everlap is suitable for general audiences. The app does not collect any user account information or personal details about who is using it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
